Quick Mobile Phone Reviews

Sony Ericsson W850: Sony Ericsson W850 A lot of us may already be familiar with the Sony Ericsson W850 when it was used in the movie “Da Vinci Code” for its web browsing capabilities. That was before the phone was released and created quite a stir for those who love cell phones and was surprised to see an unknown model in a movie. That being said, the W850 does borrow a lot of its appearance from the Sony Ericsson W800.

Nokia 6275: The 6275 is a sleek mid-range candy bar type handset from Finnish mobile phone company Nokia. It is one of several Nokia units in its class released during the last quarter of 2006. But with its incredible looking screen, the 6275 definitely stood out from its pack. While being light and relatively small it certainly packs a lot in terms or features.

LG VX8000: The LG VX8000 is the first outing by Verizon Wireless to feature full EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) support. Already an ample mobile phone in its own right, it is all the more made better as it utilizes Verizon’s promises of speed starting at 300 kbps and up to as much as 500 kbps. This is mobile networking at its best. But the real advantage of the VX8000 over its competitors is the ability to access Video On Demand, which has various programs such as news, sports, and entertainment available as a streaming video through Verizon’s V Cast service.

Samsung SCH-i760: Verizon scores a big one with the release of the Samsung SCH-i760. Announced last 2006, the i760 is a Pocket PC phone with a number pad and a built-in QWERTY keyboard. It operates on the Windows Mobile 6 operating system which includes the Office 2007. This is in contradiction to earlier reports that the i760 will run under the Smartphone version of the Windows operating system. It also does not include the Windows Live integration that other units of its class offer and will be missed by those who are used to having their services.

Motorola W490: As of late, Motorola has been known to constantly develop mobile phones for the high end market. A lot of what we have witnessed from Motorola in fact is targeted towards the upper and business type class of people that it is easy for us to dismiss Motorola as a high end phone developer only. But once you get past all these assumptions, one will realize that Motorola also developed some of the world’s better looking entry level mobile phones that are not only very affordable but is also crammed with as many features as the budget for this bracket might permit.
